Employer Description
Central Portal of Deutsche Bank Group, one of the world's leading financial service providers.
A high-intensity division, Markets encompasses what’s often called Sales & Trading. It’s where we sell, trade and structure financial market products. They include bonds, equities, exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivatives, foreign exchange, money market instruments and securitised instruments. Global markets can change in the blink of an eye and the people here – more than 4,500 across 60 offices worldwide – thrive on the pace and the pressure. Join them, and you’ll gain diverse, hands-on experience across time zones and continents.
Responsibilities
Based in one of the world’s global financial centres, you’ll be part of a team that spans a huge network of trading floors around the world. After training, you’ll get right to work in Sales, Structuring or Trading completing two rotations in different roles and desks. Whichever area you’re in, you’ll have exposure to live deals, transactions and experienced professionals. Your specific tasks will vary depending on the desk you’re working at, but you could be learning to price products, creating daily market updates or helping to refine the way we forecast dividends. Your learning curve will be steep, but you’ll also have plenty of support from managers and mentors.
Qualifications
Your degree could be in any discipline, strong quantitative, analytical and numerical skills are a must. As are commercial awareness, sound judgement and a strategic mind. Resilience and dedication are vital too if you’re to keep up with the pace of life on the trading floor. And as we put the needs of our clients first, it’s important you do as well. We’ll also look for a confident communication style and an aptitude for technology plus the determination to learn quickly and build a long-term career as a business leader. Add the creativity and intellectual curiosity to solve problems in fresh, new ways, and you could soon be adding real value to our business.
If you are applying for the Singapore or Hong Kong Internship Program, please note that it will take place during January – February, 2017.
