Employer Description
Singapore Customs – a department under the Ministry of Finance – is the lead agency for trade facilitation and revenue enforcement. Reconstituted on 1 April 2003 to bring together revenue collection and enforcement, trade documentation, trade facilitation and security functions under one agency, Singapore Customs upholds customs and trade laws to build trust in Singapore's external trading system, facilitate trade, and protect revenue.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analytics on the nature of calls received by Singapore Customs Call Centre on trade related matters and permit applications commonly rejected on TradeNet
  • Conduct benchmarking on customer engagement touchpoints
  • Propose strategies to promote greater self-help by customers by migrating callers to Customs' online platforms such as website, e-services and email 

Qualifications
  • Students with background in data analytics or statistical analysis is preferred
  • Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to analyse information critically
  • Able to work independently, is resourceful and takes initiative
  • Positive attitude
  • Candidates who can commit for 4 months are preferred.
