Responsibilities
The program runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest program took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Ageo, Japan and Greensboro, USA.
- Management of technical projects including project plans, project monitoring and reporting writing,
- Conduct technical investigations based on customer and operator feedback. This would include meeting with customers, working with the Volvo technical organization and following solutions to their completion.
- Regular customer visits and interaction to major operators running large and small fleets throughout the APAC region.
- Dealer and distributor visits and interaction related to technical issues, investigations required and ongoing projects.
- Participate in tender preparations for large bus tenders assisting in the technical response and working with the core tender team to produce the final proposal.
- Analysis warranty data from Asia Pacific markets and assist in identifying trends and problem areas.
- Assist in the development, project structure and reporting of fuel studies and projects.
- Provide support in the roll out of on-line tools for markets and operators in the technical area. This includes web portal management of content and tools available to Volvo’s customers.
- Participation and exposure to bus body building in the Asia Pacific region and technical interface to our partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Engineering or Business Administration
- Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
- Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
- Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
- International experience is meriting
