Portfolio management is the centralized management of one or more portfolios, which includes identifying, prioritizing, authorizing, managing, and controlling projects, programs and other related work to achieve specific strategic business objectives.
To help students understands more about practical portfolio management, Curtin University has worked with BestTop to honorably invite Mr Chong Qijia, Portfolio Manager with Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia) Ltd, to share with students some insights and daily operations of portfolio management as guest lecturer.
The guest lecture was held on Thursday, 7 January 2016 with a big group of enthusiastic audience from Portfolio Management class (Unit code: INVE3001) from Curtin! Through this special arrangement, the students took home with the real life examples and techniques of security analysis and learnt to apply concepts to the management of equity and fixed income security portfolios. It will certainly add colours to their interest in the subject!
Students have also been given a great opportunity to raise questions to Mr Chong at the end of this session. This marks the success of this event and on behalf of Curtin University and BestTop, we thank Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia) for supporting this event and Mr Chong for spending his valuable his time with the students!
